Lance Savali: From Dance To House
From dancing alongside global superstars to building his own career as an artist, Lance Savali has brought his passion for movement and performance into the world of house music. Following the huge success of “Devotion,” which has surpassed 49 million Spotify streams, Lance is now focused on releasing more new music and continuing to define his own sound. We caught up with him to talk about his journey, his approach to music, the impact of social media, and what’s next.
Hey Lance, thanks for being with us! You’ve built an incredible career both as a dancer and now as an artist. When did you first realize that music production and your own artist project could become the next chapter of your career?
I taught myself how to DJ first after a heart operation in 2018. I wasn't allowed to exercise for weeks, so I did that to occupy my time. I've always loved house music and thought to myself, “let's start making my own tracks,” so I guess there wasn't really an exact point; it was just a continual process getting to where I am today.

You spent years performing alongside some of the biggest names in pop, including Rihanna, Chris Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande and Madonna. How much has that experience shaped the way you approach your own performances today?
Ahhh... not really lol. This world of dance music and what I'm trying to achieve is a completely different journey for me, so I'm still learning and just excited to always perform and have fun!

Movement and energy seem to be at the heart of everything you do. How does your background as a dancer influence the way you produce music and build your tracks?
I think house music has always been about dance, so it goes hand in hand. I just love to make music, and if people love it too and wanna dance to it with me, then litttt.

“Devotion” became a huge breakthrough for you, with more than 49 million Spotify streams and 2.4 billion TikTok views on the Official Sound. What was it like watching a track you created grow to that scale?
I always felt “Devotion” was a great song, and it was a perfect representation of where I wanted to be in the world as an artist and performer, so to see my plans and hopes for what I envisioned the song to do come to life was pretty fkn cool haha. Shoutout to everyone who plays it!!

Since “Devotion,” tracks like “Body,” “Chave,” “TN’s,” and “Ain’t No Party” have continued to build your sound and identity. How would you describe what defines a Lance Savali record today?
I think a “me” record is definitely a track that doesn't follow rules or a typical structure! It's so hard because it really depends on how I'm feeling that day or week, what music I'm listening to, or even what country I'm travelling to. So maybe a very groovy/confused/rebellious/fun/uplifting sound. I like to chuck elements of other genres of music in my shit too, so yeah. U get what u hear, I guess :) xo

You were named TikTok Artist of the Year in 2025. How important has social media been in allowing you to build your career on your own terms, and do you think it has changed the way artists can break through today?
100% social media is soo powerful and fun! Obviously, there's pros and cons to it, but I love it and I enjoy it, so I'm grateful. I can connect to people all around the world via socials!

You’ve received support from some major names across house and electronic music. What does it mean to you to have artists such as Patrick Topping, Tchami, Don Diablo and Crystal Waters supporting your music?
Mannnnn, getting support from other artists is madddd. I love it! Super grateful. I just wanna have fun and meet cool people, and if it's through music, then hell yeah! Appreciate it all.

Finally, what can we expect from Lance Savali over the next year? Are there any new sounds, collaborations or projects you can tease?
I'm super focused now on being more frequent with new music. I have about 4 or 5 tracks ready to release, and to be honest, these are probably my favourites so far. I'm excited for the world to have them!!
