Beyond 101 - Top Producers 2018
What a last few weeks it's been! Growing in importance each year, we're sure by now you've seen our Top 101 Producers 2018. Changing the timescale to run on an ADE calendar was a tough decision for us, but the response, discussions, and comparisons sparked have helped validate our decision. A major thanks to everyone who viewed the rankings, shared them, commented, and supported their favorite artists. We really appreciate all of the civil and informed commentary on the rankings and the passion of this community for music is truly unmatched.
As we’ve said, the rankings should not be taken as a ‘be all and end all’ list for the best producers in the world, but we do feel that they offer a distinct and accurate look at the artists who produced many successful tracks in 2018 in terms of instilling interest in other DJs to want to play these tracks. There are some names in our rankings whose production accomplishments are likely a leading indicator for how successful they will soon become, and we're proud to be able to offer something unique, objective and of increasing significance for everyone who has made it this year.
As a thank you, we’d like to give attention to producers who also had incredible years and finished just outside of the Top 101, so we are releasing the list from 102-150. Check it out and be sure to congratulate your favorite artists on their success.
Thanks again to everyone for their support and be on the lookout for the first ever 1001Tracklists Annual Report at the end of 2018 as well as some very special plans around the Top 101 Producers 2019!
