Adrien Meszi & Noizy Mark's Exclusive Mix

Today we’re excited to bring you an Exclusive Mix from two producers who are heating up heading into 2018. Adrien Mezsi & Noizy Mark have been dropping some slick remixes this year and they have a fat stack of hot originals coming soon. Their ID collaboration with Promise Land has become a weapon in Steve Angello’s sets and we’re sure you’ll be hearing their collaborations with Mikael Weermets, Teamworx, and Drop Department soon. Enjoy the pumping, groove filled Exclusive Mix as you get to know the duo!

How’d you guys approach your Exclusive Mix and how does your track selection compare to a current live set of yours?
We tried to choose and mix some of the tracks that we are digging at the moment, combining our different tastes in terms of track selection and structure. Of course, every live set we play differs based on the crowd and venue, but this mix gives you a hint of the vibe you get when we play B2B live sets.

Can you highlight three tracks included in the mix and why they stand out to you?
1. Dua Lipa – “New Rules” (Adrien Mezsi & Noizy Mark Remix). We love the original song and we decided to make our own version of it. This remix was made in less than a week when I (Mark) went to Adrien’s studio in LA and we had a lot of fun during the process. Also, we are happy to see people loving it!

2. Drop Department & SuitStatic – “Manea.” It’s a pure banger for live sets. The melody is catchy and we love the vibe of it, these guys nailed it!

3. Promise Land – “Papaya.” We don’t have much to say, this track is just amazing!

Looking back on each of your musical careers, can you tell us a little bit about each of your own backgrounds and what led you guys to start working together?
Adrien: I was listening to demos for my label Mezsed Up, I got this demo from Mark that I loved, and we just started talking and became friends very quickly. I mean and I love pasta, and Mark lives in Sicily, so... [laughs]. I love working with honest people that are as passionate as I am, and he is definitely one of those guys.
Mark: I started producing music 4-5 years ago. I got a bunch of support from big artists in the EDM scene and some releases on labels like Eclypse. As Adrien mentioned I got in contact with him when he signed my track “Arion” with MAD2MAD and Dujak. We started exchanging some emails and ideas for new tracks after that and now we are close friends! I finally met him in person last August when he invited me for “studio/vacation” in LA.

Adrien, what do you think Mark’s biggest strength is? And Mark, vice versa for Adrien. What are a few reasons why you enjoy working together as opposed to solo?
Mark: Adrien’s biggest strength is his attention to detail when producing – I’ve learnt a lot about it from him. He’s also very good at playing the piano. I’ve studied classical music theory, but I’m not a good piano player at all [laughs]. The main reason why I enjoy working together is the fun we have, especially when we are in the same studio, and we are faster as well.
Adrien: Mark is very versatile and has his own style so when we come together we create something even more unique and original.

What was it like working together with Mikael Weermets on your new collaboration? Can you talk us through the production process?
Mark: Mikael is such a great guy. We sent him a track we finished a while back and he said that he loved it and wanted to add his touch on it. We can’t say much about the track yet, but are happy to collaborate with him and we just can’t wait to release it! There might be a preview of it somewhere in the mix as well ;)
Adrien: The original idea started over a year ago actually based around this sample I had. It’s since changed a lot over time, Mark did his thing, I did my thing, and we thought Mikael would be perfect to finish the track and take it to the next level.

Just a few weeks ago you guys previewed your bootleg of Steve Angello’s “Freedom.” What elements of the original really stood out to you? Which did you want to preserve?
We wanted to feature the original vocals of Pusha T of course, and build around Steve’s melody, but also make it something we could play in our live sets.

You also have a collaboration with Promise Land that Steve has been playing out a lot. Can you share a little about that track? What does having Steve’s stamp of approval mean to you guys?
Adrien: It’s always great news when your idols play your music, so it’s been incredible. We did the track in about a week while Mark was here in LA. Then we worked with Promise Land and finalized it a couple of weeks after that.
Mark: I’ve been following Promise Land since I was really young and I’ve got a lot of the Italian pride, so having a collaboration with them is a great accomplishment for me. It’s hard to see Steve adding tracks from other artists in his set, so having him playing the track live is something that makes me extra proud. Also, shout out to our manager for making this happen!

We hear there are some other big tracks of yours in the works as well. Anything you’d like to share about any upcoming music?
We can’t reveal that much yet, but we have some new originals and remixes which we’re excited about, especially some collaborations with Teamworx and Drop Department. We also both have lots of solo stuff on the way. Stay tuned!

And finally what are two goals that you guys hope to achieve together in 2018?
Releasing as much music as we can and having the chance to play more shows for sure.
