Anderblast Return To Size
It’s a busy time for Anderblast, who started their Rambla Records label earlier this year and are now back on Size Records with a solo release named “Anima”! Pumping out quality releases on their label while also churning out their own productions has proven a tough, but attainable challenge, and having another successful release on Size is a huge milestone for the Italian duo.
How has your year been going? What are 2-3 highlights that have stood out for you?
It’s a great year for us, full of work. We have a lot of music ready and works in progress. The most important thing at the moment is our label Rambla Records, which is giving us a lot of satisfaction, and of course our latest release on Steve Angello’s Size Records “Anima”.
How did “Anima” come about? What was the production process like?
“Anima” was born like our previous release on Size called “Genesi.” We were trying to experiment with a techno base on a jamming session and we were playing with the music. Eventually we finally found a synth that perfectly matched the mood we had in mind at the time. The other very important thing was finding the acappella from an old vinyl record.
What does it mean to you to be returning to Size Records with “Anima”? Do you remember the first reactions from Steve and Size? What was it like working with them on this release?
It's always like the first time, a big honor. Size is a constant reference point since we started producing. Both in terms of the music, but also for the style and the work behind it, with attention to the smallest details.
Yeah we remember the reaction from the whole Size team when we sent the demo of “Anima.” It was pure fire! We did not believe it, it was a dream, another single signed on Size Records!!!
How has everything been going with Rambla Records? How have you guys been managing your time between the label and your own productions and touring?
We are lucky because we are not alone. We decide on all of the music that has to go out on Rambla, but in the management and distribution we’re helped by our management, VIRUS T STUDIO owned by Riccardo Tesini.
Can you highlight a recent release from Rambla and what made the artist and track stand out to you?
We love all of the Rambla Records releases. When we decide to release a record on our label, it means that it hit us. Music is art. “Mad” by JP Candela and the latest release by TAVA & Game Over Djs “Morphine” was a big surprise for us. These tracks received support from the biggest DJs like David Guetta, Dada Life, D.O.D, Kryder, Sander van Doorn, SDJM and many artists. We’re so happy with how it is going.
How's your summer looking? What has you most excited for the months ahead?
Our summer will be of course full of music, that is life for us. We’ll play at some parties around Italy and at the same time we will continue to work in studio on our own new singles.
