R3HAB & Timmy Trumpet Call "911"
R3HAB & Timmy Trumpet have joined forces for a mega collab of a festival weapon. Their relationship has grown from a chance encounter to a strong bond that really shows in their production chemistry with “911.” Both of the guys are on board to share what the experience working together was like and what’s got them excited for the months to come!
Hey guys, thanks for joining us today! Can you tell us about when you first met? How long ago was this, how did you come to meet, and what was your first impression of one another?
R3HAB: We met on a flight and got to talking about music. I liked Timmy´s vibe right away. So before we left the airport we basically were friends.
Timmy Trumpet: We were seated together randomly on a flight when we were touring in Australia years ago and we hit it off straight away. He got his laptop out and showed me some production tips and tricks. I was blown away by how down to earth he was. I was just starting out so I wasn’t expecting him to give me the light of day, but we’ve been friends ever since.
Even though there's no festivals at the moment, “911” is a festival banger that we're sure many fans are thankful for! What was it like working on this track together?
R3HAB: I enjoyed it very much, it was great working together with Timothy. And I am more than pleased with the end result. And looking at the comments of our fans and followers I would say they are too!
Timmy Trumpet: AMAZING! I’ve wanted to work with Fadil for years. His work speaks for itself. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest producers in the game.
What is one production strength of the other that you think made its way into “911” and helped to make it the track that it is?
R3HAB: Tim brought so much great energy to the mix. You can hear it in the melody! It’s fire, combining the best of both worlds.
Timmy Trumpet: R3HAB’s strength to work in any genre always blows me away. The guy's a master at structure and sound design. Can’t wait to work with him again!
While times are undoubtedly very tough at the moment, what has been a highlight for you and something that you've been able to draw positivity from?
R3HAB: Mainly focusing on the things that are possible instead of restrictions. My fans and my crew keep providing the energy to keep producing new music.
Timmy Trumpet: I think when something happens like this it gives you perspective and reminds us all what’s really important. I’m very grateful to have the life and experiences I have and I will never take them for granted. Health before wealth always, and everyday I’m healthy, I’m grateful.
Who are some artists that you think are really on top of their game right now and artists that you're paying close attention to?
R3HAB: There are a lot of people that produce great music at the moment. From the last few weeks I really like Skytech’s new track “Skymelody.” Can’t wait for the other music that we have releasing on CYB3RPVNK soon.
Timmy Trumpet: Check out Dimatik. He’s on the pulse right now!
Do you have any upcoming music or things that you're working on that you can share?
R3HAB: I am always working on new music so yes, there will be some more fire dropping soon. Can’t share it yet…
Timmy Trumpet: I’m about to launch my own record label! Stay tuned for more info :)
What part of the world are you most looking forward to touring and visiting as soon as things normalize?
R3HAB: Honestly I miss touring in general. Not just one place but all of them!
Timmy Trumpet: To be back on tour again is what I look forward to the most. There is no better feeling than being a citizen of the world.
