God Save The Groove Preview [Part 1]

After the huge success of last year’s sold out 300 capacity boat party at 2017’s Amsterdam Dance Event, Kryder returns to the water this year for the first ever Kryteria event ‘God Save The Groove!’ Doubling the capacity to 600 and featuring a talented host of yet-to-be announced special guests, the boat party is set to continue Kryteria’s impressive start and cement its place as a brand you should look out for in the coming months and moving into 2019.

Setting sail at 3pm on Saturday, October 20th, the event will span 4 hours and include guests close to the label as well as Kryder himself. In addition, the party will also play host to a demo drop and private session with Kryder, so budding producers will have the opportunity to get their music heard and receive feedback from the label boss whilst soaking up the boat party atmosphere.

After launching Kryteria with the long-awaited Steve Angello collaboration “Romani,” and off the back of last year’s boat party success, this year’s event looks set to eclipse the previous edition and continue setting the standard for the burgeoning label’s reputation. As a special preview we’ve got loads of inside scoop from some of the confirmed artists on the lineup, so much so in fact, we’ve broken the preview piece into two parts, with part two dropping tomorrow!

Nico de Andrea b2b David Novacek
What are your thoughts on the Kryteria ADE 2018 Boat Party? How does it feel like to be part of the God Save The Groove event? What does the Kryteria family mean to you?
Nico de Andrea: I’m always extremely happy to see what Kryder is doing for the house scene and the young talent over the world. He creates opportunity, he opens doors and he is probably one of the only artists who keeps doing this. Can’t wait to be there and discover some new faces.

David Novacek: First of all the team is simply amazing. The real dream came true when I received an email that I could play on the Kryteria Boat Party. Being part of it is something really really special to me and I’m sure that it will be legendary and something that will stay forever in my heart.

What can we expect from you in the future?
Nico de Andrea: Tons of new music. Originals and remixes from afro/Latin to disco, from pop to techno. I’m experimenting with different things at the moment and I love it.

David Novacek: I really love Kryder and the kind of music he does, but what I really love mainly is how he is as a person! My dream was to release a track on Kryteria and now it will happen! I’m looking forward to the release and I hope to sign more tracks to the label.

Which artist are you excited to see on the boat party and why?
Nico de Andrea: I’m excited to see Simon Kidzoo cause we made new music together and we never had the chance to really meet each other :)

David Novacek: Everyone! We are all from different countries from around the world so it will be interesting to meet. Really looking forward to seeing everyone especially our fans and friends. It will be amazing and I just can’t wait.

Tell us a track that you are excited to play on the boat party.
Nico de Andrea: I’m super excited to play my remix of “City Of Gold” to be released shortly on Bob Sinclar’s Africanism project.

David Novacek: I’m very excited because I will only play unreleased music in my set!

Jose de Mara & Crusy B2B Les Castizos
What are your thoughts on the Kryteria ADE 2018 Boat Party? How does it feel like to be part of the God Save The Groove event? What does the Kryteria family mean to you?
Jose de Mara: I can't wait to play in this massive event! I love the movement around Kryteria right now, it’s like a big family where Kryder is helping a lot of newcomer artists, so I feel blessed to be part of this project!

Crusy: It actually feels amazing! Being part of such a big project and working with friends like Kryder is really inspiring. Kryteria for me is a group of good and talented friends that share the same passion that I have for the music! It's amazing to be inside!

Les Castizos: It’s a true honor for us to share a massive line up with so many artists that we admire and night by night we play their tracks in our sets. It is a big step for us and we are super excited!

What can we expect from you on the future?
Jose de Mara: I feel that this is the right moment to do something different, coming back to my roots. I have some new sexy house tunes coming up, but special mention to my forthcoming remix with my teammate Crusy for the Kryder & Daddy's Groove single “Street Life.” I'm also developing a new concept with my brand Arcadia, including future events, music school projects to help new talent and of course a brand new record label.

Crusy: I’m now working on more club sounds, I'm releasing an official remix for Kryder this October and a lot of nice collaborations are coming with people from the label, and a lot of dates to share the music in the world – the future looks amazing!!

Les Castizos: We are working hard on new music, and sharing it is a true focus. We have a lot of gigs this year and sincerely we think that this is a good moment for the industry!!

Which artist are you excited to see on the boat party? Why?
Jose de Mara: I want to meet lot of of the artists, but I’m especially exited to meet my good friend Cato Anaya. He is such a nice guy and a real talent! We're working on something special so you can expect new things from us in future!

Crusy: Of course all of my Spanish friends! We are quite a lot now on board and I'm looking forward to seeing all of them! Also Benny Bennassi and Kryder himself are artists that I am really excited to see!

Les Castizos: Most of them are already friends: Frank, Jose, Crusy, Chris, and many more! We want to meet all of them, the lineup is awesome!! Can’t wait!!

Tell us a track that you are excited to play on the boat party.
Jose de Mara: My new solo single! A real sexy house bomb!

Crusy: First of all my remix with Jose de Mara for Kryder and Daddy's Groove “Street Life,” which is coming on Kryteria in October as I said before. I've been hammering it all summer and it works great live!!

Les Castizos: Of course, “Bullerengue,” our new track coming on Kryteria Records!!

Styline B2B Havoc & Lawn
What are your thoughts on the Kryteria ADE 2018 Boat Party? How does it feel like to be part of the God Save The Groove event? What does the Kryteria family mean to you?
Styline: Sosumi has been a huge family for me and my career. Kryder has always been one of the nicest guys, and also a crazy party guy and a true friend of mine, so it's amazing to be back together as family with him and the rest of the crew. We're aligned in the same music taste to bring together groove, tribal, and tech house. And now with the next step of Kryteria, I'm super excited to be a part of it and for what's to come!

Havoc & Lawn: It's always a pleasure for us to be part of this amazing movement. Last year the Sosumi Boat Party was mental, and we're pretty sure that God Save The Groove will be even better. Can't wait to see the boss Kryder again and all of the amazing artists on the grooviest boat of ADE 2018.

What can we expect from you on the future?
Styline: As I'm sure lots of other artists have mentioned, I'm so excited for the Kryteria Compilation to come out which will include my remix of Kryder & HIIO - “La Luna.” I've also got a brand new project with loads of IDs to test during the party and it's called DONT BLINK so look out for that!

Havoc & Lawn: We've been working very hard to push our sounds to the next level, and we can't wait to show you all of the stuff we did.

Which artist are you excited to see on the boat party? Why?
Styline: I'm excited to play b2b with Havoc & Lawn, they've been on fire with some sick releases and we're sure to have a really high energetic techy set! It's always cool to see what Kryder is premiering and has in the pipe, and then the entire lineup is just amazing. Siwell is a great producer, so really looking forward to hearing what he has too.

Havoc & Lawn: There are a lot of amazing artists, but it's always a pleasure to see our brother Benny Benassi doing his business.

Tell us a track that you are excited to play on the boat party.
Styline: It's got to be my “La Luna” remix, no one has it, and I'm expecting a big reaction! Then it has to be the tracks from the DONT BLINK project, no one has them and only if you've heard me live have you had a chance to hear them so good luck IDing those ;)

Havoc & Lawn: We have a lot of IDs to test, and of course our upcoming releases on Kryteria.

  • Cato Anaya
What are your thoughts on the Kryteria ADE 2018 Boat Party? How does it feel like to be part of the God Save The Groove event? What does the Kryteria family mean to you?
Cato Anaya: Super excited to be part of this amazing project surrounded by top talent around the world. I’m a fan of every artist involved and have played their music for years so to have all of them playing in this event is going to be epic.

What can we expect from you on the future?
Cato Anaya: Music! Lots of Latin infused music. My main priority right now is to finish my new tracks. I have been experimenting with different genres and sounds from all of Latin America. I have been working in the studio with amazing musicians to get the real and authentic Latin sounds out there mixed with dance music.

Which artist are you excited to see on the boat party? Why?
Cato Anaya: Honestly, I’m going to try to not miss anyone. I get really inspired by listening to other artists’ sets!

Tell us a track that you are excited to play on the boat party.
Cato Anaya: My new ID called “EL RIO.” This is a magical track with a beautiful back story. The singer is an 85 year old legend from the coast of Colombia and she sings like an angel! The song contains really deep lyrics, I can't wait for everybody to listen to this track.

Simon Kidzoo
What are your thoughts on the Kryteria ADE 2018 Boat Party? How does it feel like to be part of the God Save The Groove event? What does the Kryteria family mean to you?
Simon Kidzoo: Amazing! So happy to be a part of it. Last year went crazy as well, so hopefully we can bring it to another level this year!

What can we expect from you on the future?
Simon Kidzoo: Loads of new records on some exciting labels, cool gigs and also my own 'ZOO' concept. The future looks bright!

Which artist are you excited to see on the boat party? Why?
Simon Kidzoo: Not an artist, but Mr. Clockwise; Olindo. There are not many people like him anymore, with this kind of passion and love for music.

Tell us a track that you are excited to play on the boat party.
Simon Kidzoo: Two tracks actually. One is “Muffin Dance,” because it will be released right before ADE. And the other one will be “Yalama,” really looking forward for the release on Kryteria very soon!

Make sure to tune in tomorrow when we drop Part 2 of our God Save The Groove coverage with responses and insights from the other half of the lineup!
