Ryos Is Living Again

Ryos Is Living Again
After a strong run of releases on Spinnin’ and Enhanced two years ago, Ryos was relatively quiet in 2017. For any that may have had concerns, fear not, Ryos is back and better than ever! After taking some time to refocus and retool he’s back with a massive vocal progressive house track in “Living Again.” To celebrate the release we caught up with Ryos to learn more about the new track and his big year ahead!
How’s the start of 2018 been for you? What have you been working on and how is your year shaping up?
The start of 2018 has been amazing! I've been working on a lot of new music, I took most of last year to really hone my craft and become a better producer as well as develop a better mindset. I've been working with my team to take Ryos to a whole new level and I'm really excited to put everything into play in 2018.

“Living Again” is a huge start to the year for you – a big vocal progressive house track. What made this the right track to start your releases with? How does it reflect your current inspirations/influences and future directions?
Well, I've been working on this song for a long time and it's very special to me. It seemed perfect to release one of my most special songs to kick off the first of many releases this year, especially since the title is “Living Again” and I'm also “Living Again” since I didn't release many songs last year.

What was it like working with Tony Rodini’s vocal? What do you find makes his voice and tone so well suited for your music?
Working with Tony was great. We did “Armageddon” together in 2016 and I remember thinking that his voice would fit perfectly for the kind of vibe that “Living Again” had. Tony also tends to write lyrically unique songs, which I really love since I find many EDM songs with vocals nowadays are very similar.
How do you see “Living Again” being integrated into your live sets?
“Living Again” will most likely be the way I start or end my sets. I think the emotional story of living again could be an epic way to kick off the night, or really awesome resolution to an epic night.

How do you view the current state of electronic music? Are there any trends that you really like? Are there are any changes or movements you hope to see in the future?
Electronic music definitely is in a really unique place right now. There's this massive diversity of styles, between the mainstage big room sound, pop, hard trap, etc. which I really appreciate. I'd like to continue to see this diversity, especially because I personally love and get inspired by all different types of music. I'd love to see producers mix it up more – instead of only making pop now, it'd be cool if they could make the hard club tracks as well like they used to. I'd love to get that nostalgic 2011-2013 era of EDM back, but blended with today's standards and efforts too.

What are two goals that you’re hoping to achieve in 2018?
Put out more original songs than I've ever put out, and to have my music connect with even more people than in previous years. I'm really excited because I'm so proud of the music that I'm creating and I can't wait to start sharing it with the world, starting with “Living Again.”
