Bingo Players Miami 2017 Exclusive Mix
Bingo Players are back in Miami again this year with another standout edition of Bingo Beach. To get ready for MMW and the big event, Maarten crafted a bumping Exclusive Mix featuring his new hit track “Bust This.” In his story he discuss that track as well as some other standouts for Miami and gives us an inside look at his event which features 3LAU B2B Audien, Autograf, Baggi, EDX, Henry Fong, Jonas Blue, SNBRN, TJR, and Zookëper!
Can you highlight a few tracks or artists that you think are well suited for daytime/pool parties and why?
From this mix, I really like the Simon Kidzoo rework of the classic from DJ Delicious & Till West - “NYPD.” It has that old house vibe and building up energy. Perfect for closing a day of laidback tunes going into the night for some harder grooves.
Can you highlight a few tracks or artists that you think will be real club weapons in Miami this year and why?
We just released Hysteria EP Vol. 4 ahead of Miami Music Week, for which we selected three really cool tracks (also included in the mix by the way). To me, these will be my club weapons. Also going to test out my new track I just finished, called “No. 1 Disco,” which will see a release somewhere in April.
Your track “Bust This” has been doing really well sitting atop many of our charts on the site! Can you talk us through the inspiration and production process behind that track?
Actually, I was messing around with some old projects back from 2006-2007 and I felt I missed that sound quite a bit. Especially nowadays where many artists are leaning toward the future bass sound. I wanted to make a record that is just straight-forward club music. I’m glad the track was received well and people recognized the “old school Bingo sound.”
What do you look forward to most about MMW each year?
The food, good times, and the Miami vibe plus our annual event Bingo Beach, which has been going strong for years and grown into a highlight of MMW.
What does it mean to you to return to Nikki Beach with another edition of Bingo Beach?
It’s been amazing watching Bingo Beach grow and become a mainstay of the week in Miami. It’s great seeing the fans respond as the vibe of the party shifts from low key underground sounds in the day to a big booming party once the sun goes down.
What can party goers expect from your event? What was it like curating that lineup and sound?
When it comes to Bingo Beach you have to expect the unexpected. We have a few surprises in store and you never know who might stop by to hang out. Ultimately, you can be sure that you’re gonna have a good time with killer tunes and positive vibes that keep building as the day turns to night!
Any other upcoming music from you or your label you can tell us about?
Yes, so after Miami Music Week I’m releasing a new track “No. 1 Disco,” which is basically a rework of a concept we did back in 2006; really excited to see how this will go down in clubs. I’ve got two more tracks ready after that, following the same style as “Bust This” and “No. 1 Disco.” Also, we've got a great EP coming up on Hysteria from the talented Damien N-Drix, also in April. Check that one out!
