Top 101 Producers 2019
The 1001Tracklists Top 101 Producers 2019 is here, featuring the artists whose tracks were most supported by other DJs. The rankings are composed of an artist’s cumulative unique DJ support, meaning that these rankings are determined by the amount that a producer had his or her tracks played by DJs in live sets, radio shows, and mixes. For all of an artist's tracks played between October 1, 2018 and September 30, 2019, we summed the amount of unique support for each track to generate the rankings. As a result, our rankings provide a unique indicator for an artist’s 2019 performance, and an indicator that is generated purely through other artists’ tastes.
This year marks our fourth annual installment of the Top 101 Producers, with David Guetta our new champion on the strength of both his hit collaborations and new alias Jack Back productions. Tiësto moves up four spots to claim the #2 spot with his hit “Grapevine” one of the contenders for track of the year. Skrillex achieves his fourth consecutive top 3 finish, coming in at #3, with the return of new Dog Blood music giving him a nice boost. With the official return of Swedish House Mafia, Axwell stays in the top 5 for the fourth year in a row, finishing at #4 this year. Last year’s champion, Don Diablo, rounds out the Top 5, as his incredible production output on Hexagon shows no signs of slowing down!
This year features 30 new entries as well as 7 artists returning to the rankings. Keanu Silva is the highest performing new entry, breaking into the rankings all the way at #23, with the Don Diablo edit of “King Of My Castle” due to finish as one of the top tracks of 2019.
